Long Term project REACH OUT

Active Program

The REACH-OUT project aims to develop and test an innovative training curriculum for youth workers to support them in reaching out to young migrants and refugees, while increasing their competences and fostering their professional development. The specific purposes of the project are:

1)      to analyse the training needs of youth workers about working with migrants and refugees

2)      to develop of an innovative training curriculum for youth workers who work with young migrants and refugees.

3)      To implement a pilot training for youth workers with this new training curriculum

4)      to increase  professional knowledge and skills of youth workers in the area of migrant and refugee work

5)      to improve the quality of the youth work

The REACH-OUT partners will develop 3 intellectual outputs during the project lifetime.

  • O1.Need Analysis Report will present the results of the research conducted in order to understand the training needs of the youth workers in terms of reaching out young migrants and refugees.
  • O2.Training Curriculum and Materials will be used for training of youth workers who work with young migrants and refugees.
  • O3.Trainers Handbook will be a useful resource for youth workers in providing trainings to other youth workers as well as providing services to the migrants and refugees.

Local multiplier events which aim to share project outputs with target groups will be organized in İzmir (Turkey), Florence (Italy), Thessaloniki (Greece) and Graz (Austria). As a final event an international Joint Multiplier Event will be organized in İstanbul (Turkey) which will bring together youth organizations, NGOs, youth workers and policy makers.
