The programme was a mobility initiative involving four young people aged 18–30 with fewer opportunities from France and Portugal, who were active for a period of 10 months within two hosting organizations in the field of art and digital art. Through their participation, the young people gained practical knowledge and tools related to the creative use of art and its potential within contemporary social and digital contexts.
During the programme, participants were trained in using different forms of art with a social impact, aiming to raise awareness among society and especially young people. The project combined visual arts, storytelling, and digital creation methods such as animation and audiovisual production. In addition, participants developed creative tools such as comics and board games with a social dimension, which were used in activities aimed at the creative engagement of children, particularly those facing social barriers.
Special emphasis was placed on the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, who faced geographical, economic, educational, or social obstacles and had not previously had access to mobility programmes. Their participation contributed to the development of their skills, self-confidence, and social inclusion.
For the implementation of the programme, United Societies of Balkans acted as the coordinating organization, in cooperation with Action Art and Add Art as hosting organizations. This collaboration was aligned with the organization’s strategic plan to support volunteering initiatives through the EVS programme, building on the experience and contribution of partner organizations active in the city of Thessaloniki.
