Η Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Προφυλακτικού, που καθιερώθηκε από το 2009, παροτρύνει ως προς τη χρήση προφυλάξεων, ώστε να αποφεύγονται ανεπιθύμητες εγκυμοσύνες και σεξουαλικώς μεταδιδόμενα νοσήματα. Γιορτάζεται μια μέρα πριν την Ημέρα του Αγίου Βαλεντίνου, ώστε να ενημερώσει και να ευαισθητοποιήσει σχετικά με τους κινδύνους του ελεύθερου σεξ.
Φέτος στη Θεσσαλονίκη προγραμματίστηκαν διάφορες πρωτοβουλίες.

The International Condom Day, established in 2009, promotes the use of condoms for the prevention of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. It's celebrated the day before Valentine’s Day to raise awareness about the risks of unsafe sex.
This year many initiatives was planned in Thessaloniki.
