At the beginning of June, namely 06.06.2022 - 12.06.2022, a training course for the Embrace project took place in the French village of Lahage, with participants from countries such as Italy, Vietnam, India, Peru, Greece and host France. During the week we tried to create different activities and workshops for the next youth exchange which will take place in Arnaia, Greece.
Our example for creating these activities was the host organisation which demonstrated their mission in the community where we spent the week. It was also an exciting experience to live in a tent this week, so we had a full experience of living with nature. Together with members of their organization, they showed us practical things like how to process food waste into useful compost, turn old furniture that is unusable for some people into new wood products, useful tips for farming, and more. At the end of the week, we had a lot of usable material ready, which will be used not only for the upcoming youth exchange in Greece but also for other projects related to this topic.
In our free time, we explored the surrounding countryside full of lakes, forests, and meadows, but we also found time to explore the fascinating city of Toulouse.
On top of all this, we left with a wealth of knowledge, experience, new skills and travel experiences, as well as fresh international friendships made during this project.
We thank the Erasmus+ programme and the 3PA and USB organisations responsible for the project for creating such opportunities for young people and for trying to create the best possible conditions for the participants.
