Poland. Training “Intimate Responsibility- Support for pro-health behaviors of young people” .
A couple of weeks ago I was glad to participate in the training called ““Intimate Responsibility- Support
for pro-health behaviors of young people”. As the big day was arriving my enthusiasm was getting bigger
and bigger. The snowy landscape of Zab (the beautiful small mountainous village of Poland were our
training took place), was a fantastic welcoming.
New faces, new people from different corners of Europe and a couple of days ahead to get to know each
other better, explore new ideas and get knowledge about a really really interesting topic. Our team was a
really great one. Consisted both of people who were specialists in the field and people who had the desire
to gain knowledge regarding the field, everyone contributed in their own way. We shared our concerns
and we also had the opportunity to have an insight in other countries situation and collaborate with people
from other cultures.
One of the project’s parts that I appreciated most, was the fact that every country had to facilitate its own
workshop. This was a really interesting experience through which I gain confidence. Additionally I had
the change to observe different styles of facilitation.
But talking about a project, it not only hours of workshops, facilitating and group work. We were lucky
enough to visit Zakopane and taste traditional tastes and to have a walk in the mountains, enjoying fresh
air and an extraordinary view. As you see, there is the other side too, that one of the dinners, the games ,
the trips and the free time you hang around with the other participants. Lots of laugh, more personal
conversations and new memories are born.
If you are thinking of taking part in a project like this I’d totally recommend you to do so. Choose a
topic you’ re interested in, and you’ll not regret it. I’m really grateful about that enriching experience and
the moments I shared with the people I met.
