In October our association, United Societies of Balkans, participated in the project Youth European Strategy, We Can!" or simply "YES, We Can!", a training course financed by Erasmus+ project designed to explore the renewed EU Youth Strategy “Engaging, Connecting and Empowering young people and inventing tools and local and European youth projects, based on its youth goals for the sake of young people with fewer opportunities.
Our youth workers, had the opportunity to improve EU-related knowledge (objectives of new European Youth Strategy and Youth Goals) working in an international context, exploring best practices of 10 countries, through thematic sessions/meetings with experts. In the 7 days of training in Arma di Taggia they fostered their capability engaging, connecting and empowering young people and its youth goals.
United Societies of Balkans improved the institutional capacity to enhance the quality of our youth work activities with innovative and creative non-formal learning methods addressing the needs of their disadvantaged young people through exchanging experiences and good practice on local and international youth activities based on the objectives and youth goals of the Strategy.
During the whole duration of the project, also considering COVID-19 issues that slowed down our activities, YES we Can project was essential to encourage the civic participation of young people through a better understanding of the European Youth Strategy and Youth Goals: through the reccomendations wrote during the wee in Arma di Taggia by our youth workers, we achieved the capability to have a driving and comprehensive strategy to meet the needs of disadvantaged young people such as rural youth, NEET, Roma, minorities, unemployed, refugees and migrants or mixture of these.
