Rethink Reuse Reconnect - Spain

This program was clear proof of the need to connect with other cultures and people from countries with which there might not have been prior contact; although the trip was to Spain, the discussions and activities organized—involving four other beautiful countries: Lithuania, Belgium, Italy, and Romania—made me feel as though I were traveling to those places as well. The participants from Greece and abroad formed a close-knit group, creating a supportive environment where everyone felt comfortable expressing themselves, being authentic, and belonging to the collective. I found the program’s theme—“Rethink, reuse, reconnect”—exceptionally interesting; it highlighted various issues and ways to address them at both individual and collective levels. Through interactive activities—such as videos, collages, and photography—we were even able to produce material for future participants. While I could say more, I believe the bond formed among the participants was the most significant aspect, so I will conclude with that. Below, you will find the sample photos that were requested. Please let me know if any changes are needed so I can make the necessary corrections immediately. Thank you very much for the opportunity; I remain at your disposal.

"Rethink, Reuse, Reconnect" was an experience that combined learning, fun, and the chance to meet diverse people and cultures. Through non-formal learning activities, we were able to explore topics such as environmental protection, reuse, and sustainable living in an interactive way, while also reflecting on the practical changes each of us could make. The program went beyond its core themes, offering us the opportunity to discover Manresa, learn about its history, and get to know Catalonia better. Interacting with young people from Greece, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Lithuania made the experience even more engaging, as each country and individual brought their own unique ideas and experiences. I leave this week with wonderful memories and the confirmation that Erasmus+ programs can truly offer us knowledge and experiences that are hard to come by in our everyday lives.

My participation in the Erasmus+ project “Rethink, Reuse, Reconnect” in Manresa was a truly special experience. Together with young people from Greece, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Lithuania, we had the opportunity to get to know one another, exchange ideas, and take part in various creative non-formal learning activities. Through group initiatives, discussions, and creative workshops, we learned more about sustainability, recycling, and how our daily choices can impact the environment. At the same time, we got to know Manresa—its history and culture—as well as the wider Catalonia region near Barcelona. It was a week filled with new knowledge, wonderful moments, and people from different countries, proving to me once again just how much one can learn through an Erasmus+ program.

From 10 to 18 July, I had the amazing opportunity to take part in the Erasmus+ youth exchange “Rethink, Reuse, Reconnect” in Manresa, Spain. First, I met around 35 young people from Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Belgium and Greece, and I made new friends while sharing stories, jokes, experiences and ideas with them. Second, I took part in many creative activities, workshops and energizers about recycling and environmental protection, which helped me understand the problems affecting our planet and think about possible solutions. Third, I participated in fun activities such as making videos, creating art from recycled materials, writing songs, debates and theatrical sketches, which made learning enjoyable and helped me develop my creativity and teamwork skills. Fourth,I had the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Manresa and the surrounding area of Catalonia, including the impressive Montserrat mountain, where we enjoyed the amazing views of nature. Finally, this experience helped me learn more about different cultures, become more aware of environmental issues and build friendships with people from all over Europe. It was an unforgettable week full of fun, learning, friendship and exciting memories that I will always remember.

From July 10th to the 18th, I had the opportunity to participate in a youth exchange titled "Rethink, Reuse, Reconnect" in the picturesque, mountainous town of Manresa, Spain. Through a series of creative activities, energizers, and workshops—and alongside 35 young friends from Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Belgium, and Greece—we explored and identified the major environmental issues plaguing our surroundings. The mission? To find practical solutions and create a campaign to raise awareness and address these problems. The journey concluded at Montserrat, where a local cable car took us to the area's highest point, allowing us to admire the beauty of nature—the true protagonist of the week. Thus, the cable car served a dual purpose: acting both as a literal means of ascent and as a metaphor for the program's culmination and the participants' spiritual elevation—an elevation born of that magical and unforgettable week in Manresa.

In the Erasmus+ project that took place in Manresa, Spain I had the opportunity to meet some amazing young people from Spain, Italy, Belgium, Lithuania and Romania. I participated with them in several activities related to recycling and environmental protection. I got to know them and shared stories, jokes and experiences with them. In the end I believe I made friendships with people from across Europe that I hope will lead to us meeting eachother again. I learned a lot about the topic through activities such as directing videos on our phones, using recycled materials and trash to create an arts and crafts project, making up songs about saving the planet as wells as participating in debates and theatrical sketches. We also got to explore the beautiful city of Manresa and some other places in the region of Catalonia. It was an unforgettable experience full of joy and excitement.
