An experience you can't really imagine until you experience it yourself. This is how we would characterize what we experienced in the Erasmus+ program in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. The topic of the program was the contact with local businesses of the city as well as the formulation of a business plan of our own business, which was very interesting and useful. Of course, we had the opportunity to get to know a city of 10,000 inhabitants in Slovenia from a local's perspective, where before the program we didn't even know it existed, since if it wasn't for the program we probably would never have had the opportunity to visit it. At the same time, we came in contact with people from Romania and Bulgaria. More specifically, we all worked and had fun together and understood in practice that as easily you can interact with a Greek person, you can interact with a European person in the same way and the different language or culture is not an obstacle to the development of a meaningful friendship. For those who have not participated in a similar program and are reading this article, we strongly recommend that they start applying for Erasmus+ programs. We know it sounds very strange, maybe even risky, to go on a trip with people you didn't know before the program, to end up in a city where you probably won't know anyone, but this makes every Erasmus+ program unique and memorable. In other words, the different people you get to meet in each program gives a completely different dynamic to the program and pushes you to want to know not only more of Europe but also yourself. In closing, programs like Erasmus+ take you completely away from your comfort zone as you completely leave your everyday life to go to a foreign city to interact with people you will meet for the first time. A nice related quote is the following:
“Comfort is a drug. Once you get used to it becomes addicting. Give a weak person constant stimulation, good food, cheap entertainment and they'll throw their ambitions right out of the window. The comfort zone is where dreams go to die”
