The project was implemented in collaboration with the Deaf Association of Northern Greece, involving two international volunteers, within the framework of social inclusion and awareness-raising activities. The initiative focused on supporting the deaf and hard-of-hearing community, promoting equality, accessibility, and inclusion.
The main objective was to raise awareness about the needs and rights of the community. In this context, seminars, cultural activities, and educational workshops were organized to support both social inclusion and professional empowerment.
Special emphasis was placed on facilitating access to the labor market through targeted workshops and skills development activities. At the same time, activities for children were implemented, along with initiatives promoting the importance of sign language and its use in public spaces.
Volunteers actively participated in sports and social activities organized by the association, fostering intercultural exchange and engagement with the local community. In addition, they contributed to the creation of subtitles for films and documentaries, improving accessibility and inclusion in cultural life for the deaf community.
