
“Irida & Alkyone” is a volunteering project financed by the European Solidarity Corps program of the European Union. The project aims to promote solidarity through involving youth in the empowerment process of people in a vulnerable condition, such as refugees, asylum seekers and homeless citizens. Four volunteers support hosting organizations Ecological Movement of Thessaloniki and its Alkyone Day Center, and Irida Women’s Center, in activities to provide daily care essential services and also other actions to facilitate the social inclusion of people in need. United Societies of Balkans supports the project for the coordinating and management of the volunteers, as well as the promotion of the European Solidarity Corps Program.
