The “In My Art” project was a European initiative aimed at empowering young people to take action for social inclusion and intercultural community building. The project focused particularly on multicultural contexts, where young people with migrant backgrounds often face limited opportunities to engage as active citizens.

A key objective was to increase awareness among youth workers and organizations regarding the real needs and aspirations of young people, while adapting art-based practices to diverse cultural environments. Through collaboration and exchange, partners developed and shared sustainable practices inspired by the “Arte Migrante” methodology, promoting values such as dialogue, cohesion, diversity, and non-discrimination.

The project encouraged active youth participation in local communities, especially among those at risk of marginalization due to social, economic, or cultural barriers. Its activities focused on themes such as creativity and culture, inclusion and equality, and migration-related issues.

A central element of the project was the application of the “Arte Migrante” methodology as a tool for learning and social innovation. In this context, an international training course took place in Palermo, Italy, strengthening participants’ capacities to promote inclusion through art.

At the local level, the project enhanced participants’ social engagement and involvement in activities promoting intercultural dialogue. At the European level, it contributed to spreading cultural diversity and the “Arte Migrante” philosophy, fostering cooperation and mutual understanding among different cultures.

The U.S.B. carry out educational, social, and volunteer mobility and youth-empowerment programs. Their goals are social inclusion, the creation and support of a network of active citizens, and improving their quality of life.
