The project “REACT–ACT–PREVENT: Sexual Violence through Youth Work” was implemented with the aim of developing and providing innovative and comprehensive tools and methods for the prevention of sexual violence against children, adolescents, and young people. The initiative focused on strengthening youth organizations and youth workers, enabling them to design and implement effective prevention policies, strategies, and practices through non-formal education methods, awareness-raising activities, and collaborative approaches.
Within the framework of the project, participants gained knowledge about national and European strategies and action plans addressing sexual violence prevention, while also exploring effective programmes and best practices implemented by NGOs across different countries. Special emphasis was placed on the development of digital tools and online awareness campaigns, encouraging active engagement of young people through creative and interactive approaches.
The project also contributed to the creation of a comprehensive set of e-learning tools and open educational resources, promoting accessibility and inclusion, particularly for young people with fewer opportunities. At the same time, it fostered transnational cooperation among professionals and organizations, leading to the development of innovative educational outputs and the establishment of a strong network of collaboration.
Through this process, the project increased awareness among young people about the risks of sexual violence, promoted prevention and protection strategies, and encouraged those affected or at risk to seek help and support. Furthermore, it laid the groundwork for future joint initiatives at both local and European levels, contributing meaningfully to the fight against sexual violence.
