Erasmus+ European Voluntary programmes

The current project involved 6 young volunteers coming from disadvantaged backgrounds in the activities of two hosting organizations in Thessaloniki. The program was consisted of two actions. The first action involved 3 volunteers from Hungary, Romania, FYROM, aged 17- 30 years who stayed in Thessaloniki for the period of 10 months and were involved in the activities of the organization related with the educational robotics as an innovative educational process. The second action involved another 3 volunteers from the same countries, in creative and supportive activities in Roma community based on the relative needs in Dendropotamos suburb, in Thessaloniki.

The activities involved young people with fewer opportunities due to geographical, economic and educational obstacles who didnt have the opportunity to participate in any mobility program in the past and gave them the chance to work on their educational process and achieve the goals of the project.

For the implementation of the above project 3 organizations were in cooperation, the United Societies of Balkans, acting as coordinating organization, as well as Eduact and Lighthouse of the World acting as hosting organizations. The coordinating organization has the strategic plan to find hosting organizations and involve them to the volunteering activities of the Erasmus+ program. Currently we are cooperating with the aforementioned organizations who have showed great work in the past years in the city of Thessaloniki.
