The “Roma Storytelling Adventure – RO.S.A.” Youth Exchange took place in Thessaloniki (25/07 – 05/08/2018), bringing together 42 young people aged 18–25 from Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Romania, and Spain. The project aimed to explore themes such as identity, human rights, and minority rights, with a particular focus on understanding the Roma community. Participants raised awareness about the challenges faced by Roma people and actively worked on breaking stereotypes related to their culture and way of life.

During the exchange, participants took part in parallel workshops focused on digital storytelling, including theatre, directing, and video production and editing. Divided into groups, they rotated through all workshops, gaining practical skills and tools for creative expression. Through this process, participants strengthened their understanding of human rights and were equipped with tools to promote equality and social inclusion.

As a result of the activities, participants created and produced their own short videos, which were presented during a final public event. This event aimed to maximize the impact of the project within the local community, involving local stakeholders and young people. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the project’s themes and to explore Erasmus+ opportunities, encouraging further engagement in similar initiatives.

The U.S.B. carry out educational, social, and volunteer mobility and youth-empowerment programs. Their goals are social inclusion, the creation and support of a network of active citizens, and improving their quality of life.
