The project “Innovation Competition – YiA4SDGs” was an international initiative involving partner organizations from nine countries, aiming to promote youth participation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With the support of the European Commission, partners collaborated to design and implement activities aligned with the 17 United Nations goals.
As part of the project, young people aged 18–35 participated in an international training program held in Romania (2–10 July 2016), where they were trained through non-formal learning methods on sustainable development. Participants developed key skills in designing and implementing local initiatives with social impact.
Particular emphasis was placed on the development and presentation of project ideas by participants, focusing on key priority areas such as gender equality, peace, justice and strong institutions, and quality education. These ideas were further refined during the training and served as a foundation for future local actions.
