The project “ACT” aimed to create innovative pathways for young people with fewer opportunities by offering them the chance to participate in volunteering programs with migrants and refugees in Greece and Italy. A total of 54 young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods in Roubaix, Liverpool, Brussels, as well as from Greece and Italy, took part in the project, fostering transnational cooperation and social engagement.
Through their participation, young people developed key skills and values related to active citizenship, solidarity, and tolerance, engaging directly with newly arrived migrants. The project focused on preventing social exclusion and radicalization, while supporting the inclusion of vulnerable youth.
Project partners collaborated to exchange best practices, develop training tools, and implement volunteering activities at both local and international levels. In parallel, audiovisual materials and dissemination activities were created to highlight participants’ experiences and raise awareness within local communities.
The project concluded with dissemination actions and dialogue with institutional stakeholders, strengthening the link between youth policy and inclusive social practices.
