The “SCRIPT” project started in November 2018 and was implemented over a period of more than two years, involving 5 organizations from 4 European countries (United Kingdom, Romania, Greece, and Spain). The project focused on developing an innovative non-formal learning model combining drama and multimedia, aiming to empower socially excluded young people across Europe.
The project was specifically designed for youth work professionals working with socially excluded young people aged 18–25. It provided valuable tools for working in a variety of settings, including youth and community centres, juvenile support structures, correctional institutions, and other organizations involved in social inclusion.
Throughout the project, partners collaborated closely with young people, youth workers, and stakeholders to develop, test, and refine a set of educational resources. A key outcome was the “SCRIPT Handbook”, which included a comprehensive programme of interactive drama exercises and multimedia techniques. Through these activities, participants were enabled to design, create, perform, and produce their own radio play, enhancing their creativity, self-expression, and social skills.
The project contributed significantly to promoting social inclusion and active participation among young people, while introducing innovative educational approaches that combine arts and digital media.
