The “Social Arts Hub” project aimed to strengthen cooperation among partner organizations and promote the exchange of good practices related to the development of key competences for disadvantaged adults through performing arts. At the same time, the project supported adult educators in experimenting with and enhancing innovative learning approaches, improving their training methods while highlighting the role of arts in fostering social inclusion.
A total of 96 participants were directly involved in the project’s activities. Half of them were disadvantaged adults with low educational backgrounds and limited financial resources, while the other half consisted of educators and professionals working in the field of adult education. Participants had the opportunity to develop their skills through the use of performing arts tools, fostering creativity, self-expression, and active engagement in the learning process.
The project methodology was mainly based on experiential learning (“learning by doing”), peer-to-peer education, and coaching. These approaches enabled the effective transfer of knowledge from trainers while actively engaging participants, supporting the development of skills through hands-on experience.
The project results included the enhancement of key competences among disadvantaged adult learners, the improvement of educational methods and tools for adult education professionals, and the broader promotion of artistic practices in adult education. All outputs, including audiovisual materials (videos, audio content, etc.) produced during the training activities, were made available through the project’s online platform, ensuring wide dissemination and long-term sustainability of the results.
