The “YAR – Youth Against Racism” project was a comprehensive initiative aimed at raising awareness and promoting the adoption of effective measures to combat racism. It focused on empowering youth organizations—regardless of their prior involvement in human rights issues—to actively promote and integrate human rights as a horizontal priority within their work.
As part of the project, a combined quantitative and qualitative research study was conducted to examine attitudes, challenges, and best practices related to diversity and human rights in the youth sector. In parallel, targeted training sessions were delivered for youth workers, strengthening their capacity to address issues of inclusion, equality, and non-discrimination.
The project also included national training activities and international partner meetings, fostering transnational cooperation and knowledge exchange. A key outcome was the development and implementation of anti-racist organizational policies, contributing to more inclusive and equitable management structures within participating organizations.
Project partners included organizations from several European countries, such as Bulgaria, Denmark, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Hungary. This collaboration strengthened European dialogue and supported the development of shared strategies for promoting equality and human rights.
